After nine years working in a private hospital, Tim is now Jobfit’s Regional Manager for NSW, ACT and QLD. During his five and a half years at Jobfit, Tim has witnessed enormous development within the occupational health industry, and the way Jobfit has remained at the forefront to provide industry-leading services to clients.
Working in the heart of Sydney’s central business district, Tim’s responsibilities span across three different states and territories.
“I’m responsible for the strategy and the commercial management of the regions that I look after. I manage a team who looks after clients and relationships. I also manage a team who make sure the clinics are running smoothly,” Tim said.
“My days are well structured. Usually, I’ll start with a walking meeting with my team in Sydney – we’ll go out for coffee and talk about what they’ve got planned for the day – and then I move onto emails before meetings.”
Prior to joining Jobfit, Tim worked his way up from a medical receptionist to an administration manager in a private hospital. Upon moving to Jobfit, Tim has enjoyed growing with the company and forming close relationships with his team.
“I’ve seen the changes in occupational health and safety as they’ve happened. It’s been exciting to see the structure of our service offerings grow within the industry. It’s such a buzz to be at the forefront of that while it’s happening. I’ve been very fortunate to build my experience over the years, which has helped me to form strong relationships with my team, too,” Tim said.
“When I first started, we were a lot smaller! Now, across the regions I manage, Jobfit has 24 clinics, 150 staff, and more than a thousand clients and growing. Over five and a half years, I’ve really gotten to know the clients and the different industries”.
Aiming to provide top-tier services to clients, Tim attributes Jobfit’s significant growth to the company’s drive to be the best in the industry.
“The use of technology and our drive to be a leader is pretty phenomenal. There’s some exciting stuff happening in that space, which is amazing. What’s more, it’s already helping our clients and making life easier for us too.”
Tim says that the most rewarding aspect of his role is mentoring his team and providing one-on-one support to help them achieve their professional goals.
“It’s nice to be with them in the beginning of their career development and watch them grow. For this reason, I think that’s truly rewarding.”
“I would highly recommend a career in occupational health – it’s such a nice space to be in. At Jobfit, it’s all about building those relationships and partnerships with our clients. This makes it a great place to work, but there’s also a lot of support there in terms of the leadership team and the people that you work with. There’s a lot of respect between divisions.”
