Jobfit crosses Bass Strait to open the doors to a new centre in Hobart, Tasmania in early February 2020.
Located in Hobart, the centre provides convenient and efficient access to occupational health services. Services on the island state include pre-employment medicals, drug and alcohol screening, and work fitness assessments.
Jobfit Health Group Managing Director, Steven Harvey, said the Tasmanian expansion is a positive outcome for Jobfit and its clients.
“Jobfit has previously outsourced medical examinations to local clinics in Tasmania to assist our clients with their recruitment,” he said.
“Now Jobfit crosses Bass Strait to open our own centre in Hobart. In other words, we can control access to appointments, and better manage quality control. Importantly, we can improve the speed in which we deliver medical results to our clients.
Additionally, we can support Tasmania based clients and workers who need statutory medical assessments. Medicals can be conducted for workers deployed to projects and sites on the mainland, such as RailCorp medicals,” Mr Harvey said.
This announcement builds on the Group’s vast Australian footprint of wholly-owned centres. Jobfit now has centres located in every mainland state and territory together with a centre in Auckland, New Zealand.
Jobfit Hobart is co-located with the Hobart Chiropractic Centre at 181 Harrington Street, Hobart, Tasmania 7000.
