Protecting your workforce from lead exposure is crucial for maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. At Jobfit Health Group, we offer comprehensive Lead Health Monitoring services that adhere to Safe Work Australia guidelines, ensuring the health and safety of your employees who work with or around lead.
Why is Lead Health Monitoring Important?
Lead exposure can pose significant health risks when inhaled or ingested, potentially causing serious conditions like lead poisoning, nerve damage, brain and kidney impairment, and anaemia. To safeguard your workers and comply with regulatory standards, regular health monitoring, including blood lead level testing, is essential for those involved in lead work.
Our Lead Health Monitoring Services
Our expert team provides tailored health monitoring solutions, designed to meet the specific needs of your business and workforce. We offer:
Baseline Health Monitoring
A Baseline Lead Health Monitoring assessment will include the following components:
- Health and Occupational History Questionnaire
- Respiratory Questionnaire

- Urinalysis
- Spirometry
- Pathology: Blood Lead Level
- Pathology: Full Blood Count
- Pathology: MBA20
- Doctor Review and Outcome/Recommendation
These components are required to understand the method of work being conducted, the severity of exposure, as well as assessing a worker’s health status that potentially can be affected by lead exposure.
Periodic Health Monitoring
At a minimum, and dependant on the Outcome and Recommendations provided from the previous Lead Health Monitoring assessment, further collection of Blood Lead Level (Pathology) will be required. The frequency will depend on the previous blood lead level result, with certain requirements for females of reproductive capacity:

- 3 months after the last biological monitoring is the last monitoring shows a Blood Lead Level is greater than or equal to 10 ug/dl but less than 20 ug/dl
